Stripes & Wood

Year 2024

Stripes & Wood started as a material study and turned into a quiet celebration of contrast — pattern and grain, order and irregularity.

The project centers around a small collection of benches and side tables, combining striped textile elements with solid wood frames. I was interested in how soft geometry could meet organic structure — how something graphic could still feel warm and tactile.

Each piece is built from ash and beech, chosen for their subtle tones and expressive grains. The striped fabric was handwoven in collaboration with a local textile studio, adding rhythm and a sense of movement to otherwise still forms.

It’s a simple collection, but to me, it’s about the pleasure of small tensions — graphic vs. natural, strict vs. soft — held together in balance.
